Two Stage Process
  • The Biomass under consideration is shredded to the uniform size with shredding machine. This shredded biomass is stored in the Input Storage tank. The input storage tank has facility of scaling to measure the weight of Biomass being fed to the system.

  • The input feedstock is transferred to the Hydrolysis unit. The hydrolysis unit offers versatile use depending upon the degradability of the substrates. Straw-like material is leached in metal baskets to prevent non-degradable materials to enter the process, other materials can be processed directly in hydrolysis basin. In the process of hydrolysis, input feedstock is mixed. The generated leachate is transferred to the main digester tank where biogas production takes place.

  • The leachate from hydrolysis unit is transferred into an airtight digester tank equipped with an agitator system. The sludge transfer pump is located outside the digester tank for intermittent circulation of the digestion material. The external heat exchanger is also provided on the sludge transfer line of each digester tank to obtain temperature control over the process.

  • The process of anaerobic digestion takes place in the digester and biogas is generated. The generated biogas is transported to Gas Storage tank and can be purified in cleaning unit to generate biogas suitable to various applications such as vehicle grade fuel and fuel for gas engine or boilers.
