.TESPL recently added another feather in their cap. The prestigious National Award for R & D Efforts in Group IV - Clean Energy and Climate Change for the year 2008 has been awarded to the company by the Ministry of Science And Technology, Government of India. Waste Heat Recovery in Cement Plants, was indeed a big challenge for many years. Extremely high dust level in the gases has resulted into few failures in attempts by other companies earlier. The industry was waiting for long for a reliable technology in this area. TESPL has already commercialized this patented technology with three successful installations in Cement Plants. The technology can be easily adopted for existing cement plants as floor space requirement is very low.

TESPL has received recognition for this R & D efforts. The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology has announced TESPL as winner of the National Awards for Outstanding In-house R & D Achievements (2008) in the group Clean Energy & Climate change for successfully developing and commercializing Power Generation From Waste Heat in Cement Plant amongst 20 participants in the same group.

This award is a recognition for the efforts which is beneficial not only to any specific industry but the nation on the whole and will also be benefited by reducing energy consumption of most energy intensive industry in the country. This technology will also help reducing green house gases emissions from those industries.
